Piastri declares his true Senna colours for Monaco

McLaren is putting in an extra effort to celebrate the life and achievements of Ayrton Senna this weekend in Monaco with a special livery based on the legendary driver's iconic vintage racing helmet, and Oscar Piastri doesn't want to miss out. He will be sporting a tribute of his own with a lid comprised of the same yellow and green colours, complete with an 'OP' monogram incorporated into the design. "Those iconic colours. Racing on the streets of Monaco again," a post on X (formerly Twitter) from the team's official social media account announced, adding that Oscar "brings a beautiful Senna tribute helmet to Monte Carlo." Senna is the most successful driver of all time at the Principality. As well as five successive victories at the track between 1989 and 1993, he also holds the circuit records for most pole positions (5) and podium finishes (8).
