Haas driver Kevin Magnussen has wished former Team PrincipalGuenther Steiner "all the best" after his shock split from theteam. Steiner's departure was confirmed in a statement from theteam on Wednesday [January 10] with owner Gene Haas citing poorresults as the reason for the personnel change. Ayao Komatsu hasbeen promoted from his role as Director of Engineering to take overat the helm of the American-owned outfit as it aims to take stepsforward from a disappointing season last term where it finishedbottom of the Constructors' standings. Following the news,Magnussen - who raced under Steiner over two separate stints from2017 to the latter's departure - has taken to Instagram to post afarewell message. In the post, the Danish driver wrote: "Thanks,Günther. "Thanks for taking me on the journey in 2017 and thanksfor bringing me on board again in 2022. It has been both fun andtremendously challenging – but never boring. "So long and all thebest." The post was accompanied by a picture from Magnussen'sfairytale pole position at the 2022 São Paulo Grand Prix, the firstfor both himself and Haas in F1.
