Formula E is back again! The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexicohosted the first E-Prix of the 2024 season. Fastest man inqualifying Pascal Wehrlein took pole from Sebastien Buemi, afterthe Porsche driver managed to go 0.251s quicker than the Envisiondriver. During the race, Wehrlein managed to hold on to his leadadvantage having only conceded position when he took his AttackMode and during a brief yellow flag period. The German was brieflyunder investigation for a technical violation, but was laterallowed to retain his victory. Buemi followed the Porsche home totake second, ahead of Nick Cassidy who was debuting for the Jaguarteam. Disappointing day for some The start of the race was chaotic,with several yellow flags being waved, including due to a crashbetween Nico Muller and Antonio Felix Da Costa. Robin Frijns fellfrom seventh position to P15 at the start due to a technical error.After he managed to regain some spots, he crashed on lap 9 onexiting the Foro Sol, resulting in a so-called full course yellow .It was also a disappointing weekend for Nyck de Vries. The Dutchmanwas making his return to the electric series after being oustedfrom AlphaTauri in Formula 1.
