Colapinto close to securing Alpine seat, at the expense on 1-time rookie, Doohan

Following Esteban Ocon's premature exit from Alpine before the last race weekend of the season, Jack Doohan had the opportunity to make his F1 debut for the French team. However, Flavio Briatore, Luca de Meo's executive advisor for Alpine, had expressed doubts around the Australian rookie retaining the drive for the entire 2025 campaign. According to rumours, it might be that Doohan does not get to start the F1 season at all, in favor of Williams talent, Franco Colapinto.
