Lewis Hamilton has stated that he has been left “emotionallydrained” at the end of this year's Formula 1 season. The campaignwas another challenging one for Hamilton who endured his secondconsecutive winless season. Mercedes has dropped back in the F1pecking order ever since new technical regulations came into playlast year, with the seven-time World Champion's last victory comingat the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Despite Mercedes' strugglesthis year Hamilton ended the season third in the Drivers'Championship while team-mate George Russell classified in eighth.“I’m not burnt out,” Hamilton told media including RacingNews365 .“I’d rather not keep going into the season but I think for me I’mjust more emotionally drained at the end of the year.” Hamiltonstated that the logistics of the season have been tough tonavigate, with a difficult trip from Las Vegas to Abu Dhabirounding out the year. “It definitely has been so difficult foreverybody here, all the teams moving from Las Vegas out to [AbuDhabi]. I think it should be better next year. "It’s obviously avery long season. I think really with all the negativity in theworld as well, it’s been quite draining just to maintain a positivemindset through the year.”
