Arthur Leclerc will leave the Ferrari Driver Academy as part ofseveral changes announced to the development programme for 2024.The brother of Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc will leave theacademy for next season, but will "remain part of the Ferrarifamily." Leclerc became a Ferrari junior in 2020 and has since beenthe Formula Regional European Championship runner-up, FRegionalAsia champion, a FIA Formula 3 race winner, and most recently he isa Formula 2 podium-finisher. Also departing the academy will beJames Wharton, who was the winner of the first Ferrari DriverAcademy Scouting World Final in 2020. In 2023 he won the F4 UAEtitle and came fourth in Italian Formula 4. Those who will remainin the academy includes Aurelia Nobels and Maya Weug, with both setto race in the F1 Academy series in 2024. Jock Clear becomes headof Ferrari Driver Academy Marco Matassa will be leaving his role ashead of Ferrari Driver Academy which he has held since 2018, andwill be replaced by Jock Clear. Clear has worked as Ferrari DriverCoach having joined Ferrari in 2015, and been working in F1 since1989 when he joined Benetton. He later went on to engineer JaquesVilleneuve at Williams and Rubens Barrichello at Brawn GP. He wasalso the performance engineer to Lewis Hamilton and MichaelSchumacher while at Mercedes, before making a switch to Ferrari.
