Frederic Vasseur has urged his Ferrari team to follow the exampleset by Red Bull as it looks to climb into title contention.Vasseur's first season in charge at Maranello ended with third inthe Constructors' and one Grand Prix win through Carlos Sainz inSingapore. It was the only non-Red Bull Grand Prix win of 2023, asFerrari morphed its car concept design to the Red Bull downwashsidepods from its bathtub design. As well as its car performance,Red Bull is renowned for its trackside operations, reliability andstrategy calls - something Vasseur feels Ferrari should follow.Vasseur's Red Bull example "You have a group of people workingtogether for years, and when you arrive in this group, you need tounderstand how the group is working before taking any action ordecision," Vasseur told media including RacingNews365. "My job wasmore to back the team on the fact that we have to be aggressive, that we have to take risks and be ambitious and not be scared of anincident or something like this. "I think we did make a step onthis. "You don't need to have the F1 of a few years ago when theFerrari, Red Bull and Mercedes were able to go into Q2 with a setof Mediums in Q1. "This is behind us, and won't happen again. Youalways have to be at the limit, and I think this culture, when RedBull are performing at the limit and aggressive on every singletopic is a direction we have to take, but we did a good step foryear one."
