Michael Schumacher's long time manager Willi Weber has spoken outabout the seven-time World Champion, following his skiing accident10 years ago. In December 2013, Schumacher went skiing with his sonMick, when he fell and hit his head on a rock. Despite wearing ahelmet, he sustained a serious head injury and had to be taken tohospital in Grenoble for treatment. He was placed into a medicallyinduced coma to help reduce swelling in his brain, before beingtransferred to the university hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland.Schumacher was brought out of the coma in May 2014, but has notbeen seen in public since, with his family protective ofSchumacher's condition. Speaking in a recent interview withEXPRESS.de, Weber described the aftermath of the accident. “Imourned like a dog after the accident,” said Weber. "When I thinkof Michael now, unfortunately I no longer have any hope that I willsee him again, without positive news after ten years." Weber: Thebook is the final line for me Weber published a book titled'Gasoline in the Blood' in German, in which he also spoke about theaccident. "It was not easy to confront it again. But I wanted to dothat. The book is supposed to be a final line for me," he said.Weber admits that he did not visit the 91-time Grand Prix when hewas in hospital, which is something he regrets. "Of course I regretit a lot, and I blame myself. I should have visited Michael in thehospital. It hits me incredibly hard, as you can imagine. “Eventhree or four years later, people who recognised me kept asking me:'How is Michael?' Then I stopped trying to explain and thought:'Why doesn't anyone ask how I'm doing?' It was clear to me: this isthe end. I have to put this out of my head."
